Google ClassroomThis video is about to walk you through how to use your GPISD Google Classroom account. This account will remain with you throughout the rest of your educational career in Grand Prairie and will be an invaluable resource to you and your education if you utilize it properly.
Lucky for you (Wink! Wink!), you got one of the only certified Google Educators in the district to help show you how to use it! Don't let it bum you out yet too much. I promise that you will be emailing me to thank me for showing you this in years to come! Used right, it makes learning easy and efficient. |
DIRECTIONS: Read the note on the side before you watch the video. After, log in and complete the required assignments.
Note: The link below to complete the assignment will open a new window. This will allow you to come back to the video by returning to the assignment tab. I strongly suggest that you watch the video fully first and then use it as a resource to help you navigate.

2. Once you have entered Google Classroom, you need to use the instructions above to join your class. The class codes are based on the period that you have me, so please make sure you join the correct one. If you decide to copy and paste the code, please make sure there are no extra blank spaces before or after the code. The class codes are as follows: Period 2 Class Code: fs7n70 Period 3 Class Code: w9nbhun Period 5 Class Code: rdzkl8 Period 6 Class Code: om1v9l 3. Once inside Google Classroom, you will learn more about Google Apps for Education. This is an amazing piece of technology that can be used by you to create and learn AT THE SAME TIME and ALL IN ONE PLACE! By the end of the lesson, I want you to understand how to use Google Classroom, have a good understanding of your Google Drive, Docs, and Slides, and understand that you have now been assigned a project that MUST be done using them through Google Classroom. NOTE: Although you will now have a project, projects do NOT replace weekly homework assignments. They are simply an extension of learning through home-based research and application. You will still be responsible for checking the website each week and completing the required work under the Homework page. |
